Whether you need an original composition or an existing piece reimagined for a new setting, Jos Cole brings RNCM-trained craft and a composer's ear to every project.
Commissions
Jos accepts commissions for original works across classical, jazz, and contemporary idioms, with a particular focus on building new repertoire for saxophone and chamber ensembles. Previous commissions include Droplets for soprano saxophone and vibraphone, written for the Kairos Duo, and Reflections for reed quintet, commissioned by Northern Reeds.
If you have a project in mind - whether a concert piece, a jazz chart, or something that doesn't fit neatly into a category, get in touch with an outline of your brief and Jos will discuss what is possible.
Pricing is agreed on a project by project basis.
Arrangements
Jos arranges music for function bands, music schools, ensembles, and individual performers across all styles and standards. From accessible arrangements for student ensembles to fully realised charts for professional live acts, every arrangement is tailored to the specific forces and context involved.
There are no limits on style or instrumentation. If you need music written for a specific group, occasion, or brief, Jos can deliver it.
Pricing is agreed on a project by project basis.

Every project begins with a brief. The more detail you can provide about the forces involved, the occasion, the style, and the level of creative freedom on offer, the better the result. An optional consultation is available for more complex projects.
