What to Expect When You Commission Me
Every commission begins with an email. Get in touch at joscole.music@outlook.com with an outline of your project and Jos will come back to you to discuss next steps.
From there, a consultation is arranged via Zoom to talk through the brief in detail. A 30 minute consultation is charged at £20, reflecting the time and expertise involved in getting a project started properly. Clients are encouraged to come prepared with as much information as possible; references, artistic direction, tone, and an honest conversation about how much creative freedom is on the table.
Once the brief is agreed, work begins. Footage or reference material is reviewed, and a compositional direction is established before a note is written. The final score is delivered via WeTransfer in the agreed format, with two rounds of revisions included as standard. Further revisions beyond that are available at an agreed rate.
Timelines vary depending on the scope and deadlines of the project. This is discussed and agreed upfront so there are no surprises.
